Summer isn't looking good for thirteen-year-old Tyler. His dad has moved to Singapore and his mom has headed to Las Vegas to marry her new boyfriend. That leaves Tyler stuck with his aunt and uncle in El Paso. On the plus side, his cousin Mackenzie is pretty cool and Mac's uncle Eric is a pilot. Things get intense when Eric goes missing and Tyler and Mac have to find him. But rescuing Eric means Tyler and Mac will have to risk everything.  Maybe an El Paso summer won't be so boring after all. 

Meet The author: Dave Owen

After a career as a marketing professional with a Fortune 500 company, Dave Owen decided to start writing fiction. Sky High Danger is his first published book and the first in the El Paso Summer series. Dave and his wife Anita, a high school math teacher, live in Richardson, Texas. They have three grown children and two grandchildren.

"This book is rooted in my lifelong dream of writing a young teen adventure fiction, a love of flying inspired by TV shows I watched as a kid as well as my earliest flying experiences with my best friend in high school who got his pilot's license when we were just 17. Tyler and Mackenzie are both genuine, modern characters that today's kids and parents can identify with. They are surrounded by supportive adults in spite of tough circumstances and yet are thrust into a dangerous situation that will test what they are made of. I'm excited to share this book and hope kids will be inspired to trust the abilities that they may not have realized they had in them."
